Meghan is the founder and managing partner of McCartan & Company, a creative marketing consulting company founded based on her own extensive experiences. McCartan & Company specializes in providing customized marketing and branding solutions for clients including financial services companies, financial advisors, not-for-profits, and more. Meghan draws from her 15+ years of experience in senior roles for Fortune 100 financial services firms, including AIG and MetLife. She brings experience in marketing strategy, writing, project management, campaign management, and events. Her portfolio includes product launches, sales campaigns, full-length magazines, and executive communications. Meghan's event experience includes both agenda creation and business continuity as well as hotel/venue negotiations. She has run exclusive executive retreats of 15-20 up through business meetings of 900+. Successful agendas have included speakers such as Duke’s Coach Mike Kryzewski, President Gerald Ford, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Bob Woodward, Dick Vitale, James Carville and Newt Gingrich, Senator Bill Bradley and Pat Buchanan. She has managed to multi-million dollar budgets and also effectively turned around fundraisers or small-scale meetings on a shoestring. One of Meghan’s initial projects, now run as a wholly-owned subsidiary of M&Co, was Detours&OnRamps, a forum created to address the issues of working mothers. Meghan started the forum as a result of her own experiences in seeking jobs that would allow her to balance work and family, to bring together the companies who are trying to continue to involve strong women, the recruiters and support groups out there, and those mothers themselves in an atmosphere of practical learning and positive networking. Meghan was recognized within three months of the Forum’s founding with an Avon “Hello Tomorrow” Fund cash award, for “Women Changing the World.” Meghan holds an MBA in Marketing from Tulane, as well as a BA in Government/History from the College of William and Mary.
